Abstract: Information for this article came from the Vacaville Heritage Council, Vacaville Museum, Solano Historian, and Vacaville Public Library. The town of Cement came into being in 1902. It lasted a quarter of a century, then was totally abandoned in 1927. But it had a hell of a run, as they say.
