Abstract: Information for this article came from the Vacaville Heritage Council and the Vacaville Museum. Wolfskill descendants can trace their story back to the 1740s Prussia and Frederick the Great's ongoing wars. Rather than fight in wars where the loss of life was incredibly high, in 1742, Joseph Wolfskeil moved to the wilderness of Pennsylvania to take his chances.
