Jan 11, 2004
Abstract: Luzena Stanley Wilson and her husband, Mason Wilson, are two names that resonate through Vacaville's early history. The couple arrived in California with their two toddlers in 1849, attracted by the Gold Rush. They experienced the hardships of the rough society of Sacramento and Nevada City before finally settling in the fertile Vaca Valley in 1851.
